K1/K2 Ski Camp 21st-24th May (estimated cost $560)
The K1/K2 team start their next season training this coming May with a May long weekend camp from the 21st-24th May at Blackcomb. This is a back to basics camp which focuses on basic technique through drills and skiing varied terrain, there is also an opportunity at this camp to test skis from several companies. This can help with buying kit for K1/K2 next season and often there are great racer deals offered or demo skis for sale.
This camp is great for new K1 athletes to attend as it provides an ideal opportunity to get to know the team and coaches and see how life on camp works. Also, if you are not sure about joining K1 this can be a great chance to try it out. These camps are a seperate cost than the program fees for the year.
This May camp is estimated at $560 this includes lift tickets, accommodation, food, transport, coaching and coaches expenses.
NGSL/K1/K2/J1 Dryland Camps (cost- $250 per child for 5 days)
This summer we are offering dryland camps at Cypress Mountain, open to all programs. This will run from 9am-4pm for 5 days at a time and involve the following; dryland sessions such as biking, hiking, circuit training, running sessions, agility and core sessions, it will also encorporate a 1 hour classroom session each day on a ski related topic, and involve outdoor/indoor team building activities throughout the day. The cost is $250 for the week, athletes are asked to bring their own packed lunch, snacks and water/juice for the day. We will meet at 9am at the Cypress Club Cabin (old day lodge) and we ask that parents collect their child from here at 4pm each day.

Dates are: July 5th-9th - $250 and August 2nd-6th - $250 and August 30th - Sept. 3rd - $250
Coast Zone dryland training will be starting towards the end of June, through to the Fall. This normally consists of two weekly dryland sessions, Tues and Thurs evenings 6.30-8pm at Mahon Park and one at Brockton Oval in Stanley Park on Sat from 10am-12noon. The dates for this starting are still to be confirmed and the cost will be approx $50 for the summer and fall.
K1/K2 Super Camp 21st-25th July (estimated cost $700)
The other onsnow camp which is available to K1 and K2 athletes is the July Super Camp from 21st-25th July at Blackcomb. This is a great summer ski camp for athletes to attend as it provides technical freeski, brushes, and stubbies to work on basics and technical progression, as well as a fun dryland programme.
This year we have the pleasure of Alecia Willis, BC Team athlete, attending our camp as a guest coach. She was previously a CSC athletes before moving onto FIS at Whistler and then to BC Team, she brings a wealth of experience and is willing to get invovled with the athletes to help them achieve their goals. She is a great inspiration to our Kinder team.
The estimated cost for this camp is $700 which includes lift tickets, accommodation, food, transport, lanespace and salt, coaching and coaches expenses.
K2 Ski Camp - Mt Hood 8th-15th August (estimated cost $1050)
This is a great camp for all K2 athletes to attend as it takes the technical progression into full gates. Mt Hood has excellent conditions at this time of year with great turn around on the lift, allowing good mileage on snow and in gates. The environment also provides opportunitites to train alongside other teams from BC as well as International teams. This camp allows us to take advantage of great dryland sessions by hiking in the Oregon area and Windsurfing at Hood River.
