**Time Change**
Cypress Mountain will now be operating from 10am-7pm. We will continue with night training for all programs at the new time of 4-7pm starting on Thursday 11th March. I do understand that this may be difficult for those coming from across town after school, therefore myself or a parent will be in the Cypress Day Lodge until 5.30pm to coordinate any late shows for training with the coaches on the hill. The weekend training time will be from 10am until 4pm, please meet coaches in the Day Lodge at 9.45am

Lifts in Operation
The lifts that will be in operation are Sky Chair, and Lions Chair. The runs they will have open are as follows;
CYPRESS MOUNTAIN: The current plan is to open Sky Chair with T-33, Ripcord, Glades, Horsefly Canyon and Tom Cat in exceptional condition; Lions Express Chair with Upper Cat Track, Upper Bowen, Gibsons, Humpty Dumpty and Hutch in superb condition; and Horizon and Collins with superb upper conditions and ski outs on the bottom third (below the top of Midway Chair) - over 1200 vertical feet of excellent snow conditions! Easy Rider Chair will also be open in good condition. We hope to open portions of the Olympic Courses on Black Mountain as soon as possible after March 9th and we will keep you up to date on timing for this exciting opportunity! The Lower Terrain Park was stripped of snow to move the "Field of Play" on Black Mountain, however we will be looking at alternative areas on Mt Strachan to build a temporary area for Park enthusiasts - keep in touch for this announcement!

Sky Chair has great snow on it so there should be some good skiing up there.

There is a possibility that the PGS run on Eagle chair will open towards the end of March once VANOC has cleared out their structures.

Training Space: At the moment we have no areas to set up gates or environments. In the meantime we will be looking at other options for K1 and K2 to get gate training before the next set of races ie Provincials and Westerns.

NGSL Race: Our NGSL race on the 28th March is CANCELLED due to limited terrain.

Snow Forecast: The good news is that there is snow forecast in the next two weeks with temperatures going down and the freezing level going to 600m (base of the mountain is 800m) which is great news for Cypress Mountain and our end of season on snow time.

K1/K2 Spring Break: In order to get some good gate training in for K1’s before Provincials we will be offering full slalom gate training this weekend 6th/7th March plus Tues 9th 5.30-8.30pm up at Mt Seymour. Head Coaches will be in touch regarding other opporuntites this coming week for those on Spring Break.

Then the weekend of the 13th and 14th March the K1 and K2 groups will be training at Hemlock. If you need help in car pooling to these training sessions please contact your parent rep. Also if you wish to stay up at Hemlock over the weekend please coordinate this with your parent rep and see if any families wish to share accommodation. If you would like more details then please contact your Head Coach.

See you on the snow!
