Vancouver Adaptive Ski Society
Come Be Inspired..
On Thursday February 28, 2008 Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports (VASS) will host the inaugural Grouse Mountain VASS Corporate Cup. This event is sponsored by Grouse Mountain Resort Ltd and supported by The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) and The Disabled Skiers Association of BC (DSABC).
We invite your company to enter a team of three people for a fun day at Grouse Mountain Resort. This day includes a fun race with our elite athletes with a disability, followed by a banquet/awards in the beautiful Grouse Mountain chalet and an afternoon of free skiing/boarding.
National alpine ski team alumni (both able-bodied and disabled) will be available for racing and ski tips. There will be a sledge hockey demo on the Grouse Mountain skating rink.
This event is an opportunity to learn more about how VASS and its many supportive partners make a impact on the lives of people with a disability from our Learn-to-Ski/Board Programs to our VASS/Tyee Adaptive Racing Program. The continuum of athlete development from our grass-root racing program though to the mandate of the The Canadian Paralympic Committee and high performance adaptive sport will be celebrated.
All of the proceeds from this event will go to fund VASS programs and adaptive equipment.
Go to www.vass.ca/corpcup for information.
